Jakarta, September 16, 2026 – As a concrete action toward the energy transition and in support of sustainable tourism, PT Paiton Energy (www.paitonenergy.com) donated two units of electric tourist transport (electric Angling) to Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) on Wednesday, September 16, to serve as eco-friendly transportation within the tourist area.
For TMII, the deployment of these two tourist eco-transport units (electric Angling) represents a tangible step in its continuous transformation into a sustainable tourism destination, while supporting Indonesia’s Tourism Sector Decarbonization Roadmap. These two electric shuttles will reduce exhaust emissions (carbon footprint), preserve air quality, and lower noise pollution (silent operation), ultimately enhancing visitor comfort at TMII.
Meanwhile, for Paiton Energy, the deployment of the two tourist eco-transport units at TMII forms part of the Company’s external engagement initiatives through its CSR program to support the government in achieving the Net Zero Emissions target by 2060. Internally, Paiton Energy plans to transition its power generation units toward natural gas (gas-fired power plants/PLTG). This strategic step is also undertaken to support the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), thereby reinforcing the future of Indonesia.
The handover and launch ceremony for the two tourist eco-transport units was held at Plaza Kori Agung, TMII, marking the commemoration of World Ozone Day (September 16) and National Transportation Day (September 17).
The event was attended by the Secretary to the Deputy for Industry and Investment at the Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Indonesia, Fransiskus Handoko; Acting President Director of TMII, Ratri Paramita; President Director of PT Paiton Energy, Fazil Erwin Alfitri; as well as the Head of the Administrative Sub-division of the Pavilion and Tourism Lodge Management Unit under the Jakarta Provincial Tourism and Creative Economy Department, Karentino.
President Director of PT Paiton Energy, Fazil Erwin Alfitri, said that introducing electric vehicles such as the two tourist eco-transport units is essential for reducing carbon emissions and driving the energy transition within the transportation sector to achieve the Net Zero Emissions (NZE) target by 2060.
“Paiton Energy fully supports the government’s commitment to realizing Net Zero Emissions (NZE) by 2060. Therefore, regarding the company’s energy transition, we have conveyed our readiness to the government and PT PLN (Persero) to expand our electricity generation capacity by constructing a gas-fired power plant,” said Fazil Erwin Alfitri.
The Secretary to the Deputy for Industry and Investment at the Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Indonesia, Fransiskus Handoko, highly appreciated this collaboration as a concrete manifestation of support for the national tourism policy direction, which focuses on quality and sustainability.

Acting President Director of TMII, Ratri Paramita, expressed her gratitude for PT Paiton Energy’s active contribution to supporting TMII’s transformation into an eco-friendly cultural tourism and education destination.

The deployment of these two tourist transport units from Paiton Energy significantly aids us in reducing exhaust emissions, maintaining a clean and quiet environment across the complex, and delivering an enjoyable experience for tourists. This synergy reinforces TMII’s position as a pioneer of sustainable tourism destinations in Indonesia,” said Ratri Paramita.
The introduction of the two tourist eco-transport units at TMII is the result of a multi-stakeholder synergy between PT Paiton Energy’s CSR program and TMII to support the creation of sustainable tourism and drive the energy transition through the provision of eco-friendly public transportation solutions.
