Probolinggo, March 11, 2025 – In this moment of Ramadan, PT Paiton Energy and PT Paiton Operation and Maintenance Indonesia (POMI) expressed appreciation and compassion to various parties who have synergized with the company to support the realization of sustainable development for a progressive Indonesia.
In an Iftar event titled “Synergy of Kindness Paiton Energy – POMI for Advanced Indonesia” on Tuesday (3/11), the company provided Tali Asih Berkah Ramadan in the form of food packages to 200 orphans and 200 elderly people in Paiton sub-district, as well as 3,000 families who are in need from 25 villages in Probolinggo and Situbondo districts, East Java, mostly consisting of orphans and single mothers.
The Kindness Synergy activity was held at POH 1 Recreation Hall, PT POMI Employee Housing Complex, Probolinggo. The event was attended by Fazil Erwin Alfitri, President Director of PT Paiton Energy and Sugiyanto, President Director of PT POMI.
President Director of PT Paiton Energy, Fazil Erwin Alfitri said the month of Ramadan is always a special moment to strengthen friendship and give appreciation and Tali Asih to various parties, especially the surrounding community who have participated in supporting the Company to realize sustainable development.
“For PE – POMI, the principle of sustainable development is important to support the realization of community welfare and preserve the environment, both now and in the future,” said Fazil Erwin Alfitri.
Meanwhile, President Director of PT POMI, Sugiyanto, added that all of the Company’s CSR programs covering various sectors, including community economic empowerment, health, education and environmental protection, are the result of cooperation and synergy with various parties, including the government, media and the community.
“Ramadan teaches the value of caring for others, which the company implements every year through its sharing program. The Company aspires to maintain the initiatives that have been successfully implemented in the past. The synergy between our company, the community, and the media is key in creating a wider positive impact,” said Sugiyanto.
In addition, PT Paiton Energy’s achievement of the Green PROPER Award from the Indonesian government, is also a clear evidence to the success of cooperation and synergy with the community and the media, as well as recognition of the company’s efforts to conduct business activities that are aligned with sustainable development (SDGs) to support Indonesia Maju.
In its CSR and ESG programs, PT Paiton Energy – PT POMI always applies the Pentahelix concept, which is a synergy and cooperation involving five important components: government, community, academia, business, and media. These five elements are consistently involved in every CSR and ESG program organized by PT Paiton Energy.
PT Paiton Energy has implemented its CSR program since 2000 which was designed annually and monitored by the Community Development Committee. The programs are categorized into three focuses, namely supporting the sustainability of Companies (power plant), socio-economic sustainability, and energy and environmental sustainability.
