Paiton Energy Donates Medical Protective Equipments

PT Paiton Energy donates the hospital medical tools supplies to the central and local governments to overcome the COVID-19 pandemic. Donations were handed over to  Persahabatan Hospital owned by the Indonesian government, Electricity State Company (PT PLN Persero), and the Government of Probolinggo Regency, East Java.

To support the hospital medical tools supplies, on April 6th Paiton Energy have donated 365 pieces hazardous material (Hazmat) clothes, 300 boxes @ 50 pieces surgical masks, 200 boxes @ 50 pairs of surgical gloves to Persahabatan Hospital directly with the total value of Rp.300 million. While through PLN on April 29th, PE donated 1,000 Hazmat clothes and 200 pieces surgical masks with the total value of Rp.300 million.

President Director of Paiton Energy Koichiro Miyazaki said the COVID-19 Pandemic problem was a problem for all of people. Therefore, the efforts to overcome them must have the support of all parties. "Paiton Energy participated in overcoming the COVID-19 Pandemic by donating the hospital medical tools supplies."

Hospital medical tools supplies is a very important resource in efforts to overcome the COVID-19 pandemic. Doctors and health professionals are the front guard so they must get adequate self-protection against the COVID-19 pandemic. All the donated medical tools supplies are premium quality products which meet the international medical standards.

Donations to Probolinggo Regency in the form of 100 Hazmat suits to hospitals in Probolinggo produced by local small business supported by the company. Paiton Energy also donated 120 litres disinfectant produced by our Lab for local hospitals. Paiton Energy also provided Cash Donation of Rp 10 MM to local foundation (Forum Kabupaten Probolinggo Sehat/FKPS –Namira) coordinating humanitarian efforts in Probolinggo. The fund was then utilized to purchase PPE and nutrients for medical teams engaging in Covid-19 mitigation in several hospitals.

Aside from donating to the hospitals in Probolinggo, Paiton Energy also supported the community by disinfecting local mosques especially before Friday pray. Paiton Energy is also supporting organic farmers amid difficulties in marketing their produces. This is done by helping market their products for humanitarian supports coordinated by FKPS/ Namira Foundation and introducing Farmer Online Market to introduce farmers produces and access to wider market.
