Jakarta, January 22, 2025 – PT Paiton Energy and the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) collaborate on Humanitarian Aid Programs. These programs include Community Based Disaster Preparedness (CBAT), Disaster Safe Education Unit (SPAB) in schools, and stunting and endemic disease prevention campaigns.
Under this cooperation, two documents were signed, namely a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) containing a general understanding signed by President Director of PT Paiton Energy Fazil Erwin Alfitri and PMI Chairman Jusuf Kalla, and a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) signed by Chief Financial Officer of PT Paiton Energy Bayu Widyanto and PMI Secretary General A.M. Fachir.
The signing ceremony of the Humanitarian Aid Program Agreement took place on Wednesday (1/22) at the PMI headquarters in Jakarta.
This agreement aims to increase PT Paiton Energy’s contribution in supporting community welfare through various humanitarian and environmental programs.
This collaboration includes initiatives in the areas of environment, disaster preparedness, health and social welfare, both in Probolinggo Regency and nationally. Programs include reforestation, Volunteer Gatherings, and improving community preparedness and health.
As part of disaster preparedness, the program includes Community Based Disaster Preparedness (CBAT), Disaster Safe Education Units (SPAB) in three schools, and stunting and endemic disease prevention campaigns.
Other areas of cooperation include cataract surgeries, disaster relief, ambulance procurement, and national disaster training and preparedness.
President Director of PT Paiton Energy, Fazil Erwin Alfitri, said that this program is part of the Company’s commitment to support sustainable development and be responsive to the social needs of the community.
“We believe this collaboration will have a significant positive impact, especially in the environmental aspect to promote disaster resilience, strengthening the community’s economy and health. With the various initiatives undertaken, we hope to create long-term benefits for the community,” said Fazil Erwin Alfitri.
Chief Financial Officer of PT Paiton Energy, Bayu Widyanto, said that this synergy and collaboration is an important step in efforts to strengthen social and environmental resilience in Indonesia.
“Through this collaboration, we want to ensure that PT Paiton Energy’s contributions in the humanitarian and environmental fields can bring long-term benefits to people in need,” said Bayu Widyanto.
Meanwhile, PMI Chairman, Jusuf Kalla, said that the partnership with PT Paiton Energy will strengthen the various humanitarian programs that PMI has been implementing.
“This cooperation is a tangible manifestation of how the private sector can contribute more to efforts to improve the environment and people’s welfare,” said Jusuf Kalla.
PMI and PT Paiton Energy hope that this synergy and cooperation can make a real contribution to the community, both in environmental aspects, emergency response and overall improvement of social welfare. PT Paiton Energy’s support for PMI’s Humanitarian Aid Program is part of the Company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
